WU Siao-Jing feels for flowers blossoming quietly in nature, and the flowers feed her inspiration. Peaceful uses elaborate-style painting to color the ink; there is only the white cubic vase placed on the table, two flowers in the vase blossoming quietly. The doily has a subtle pattern, in front of the curtain a butterfly attracted by the flowers, everything is elegant and neat, the secret stays still and beautiful as the homonym in the name. WU Siao-Jing adopts the Gongbi techniques and style of Chinese Meticulous flower and bird painting of the academy style during the Song Dynasty. She paints details ornamentally, expressing the patterns of doily and curtain; with layers and layers of rendering, the aesthetic built little by little. It is how we rinse our soul in the modern society.
