For three years, YANG Shun-Fa observed the ecological and environmental issues faced by the coastal areas in Central and Southern Taiwan through photographic filming. The shooting cite for the work, The Submerged Beauty of Formosa-Wangliao Village, Dongshih Township, Chiayi County, is on highway 61. With global warming and rising sea levels, land subsidence has caused serious changes in the coastal landscape of Taiwan. YANG Shun-Fa uses a 180-degree lens angle and special photography techniques to create an island-like image. The "island" is like a wake-up call to warn people that they can no longer be silent and indifferent; no one is an outsider, and the future of Taiwan is in the hands of every Taiwanese.
