CHEN Jui-Hung’s creations are often focused on people living in the city. The work, Stream, uses a black background to outline a group of figures with white lines. These figures have no recognizable faces and clothing. Their bodies are made out of wavy lines. There seems to be no clear boundaries and they appear to be connected and inseparable. In the dark ink, another group of people seems to have been completely engulfed. CHEN Jui-Hung tries to present that the people in modern life are like waves, floating and drowning collectively, while also recording his inner state of passion and calmness during the process of creation.
