LIN Shu-Jou's creations are mostly related to life and land. The inspiration comes from the pollution and hunting of the ocean by the people. In the work, Ceremony, she believes that the attraction of the ceremony comes from people’s beliefs. In the center of the picture is a wizard named Padaya. She has a fish-like appearance and a strange human-like face. She keeps praying every day and night, hoping that the blue ocean and green land would not be covered by blood or be gone unnaturally. Using an illustration-like method, LIN Shu-Jou gradually outlines the colorful and symbolic images through detailed and repeated lines, and with symbolic visual images, tells the sorrow of nature and organisms under humans’ invasion.
