作品賞析
In LIN Ren-Hsin’s printmaking, The Word / World <I>, blocks of text are piled up into a mountain, with a black color like charcoal. Some of these words are English alphabets, and some are dismantled Chinese characters with shattered forms. LIN Ren-Hsin believes that in today when Internet is mainstream, even though acquiring information is convenient, the rich amount of information makes us mistakenly think that we really understand an event due to how fast information circulates even when we only see just one part of the whole. The media has also become the main channel for interpersonal emotions. LIN Ren-Hsin uses words to stack the fragmented and broken symbols and through metaphors, explores the dialectical relationship between symbols and information.
