The work of WU Chen-Yu, Just like Hudson Hornet, is named based on the character Hudson Hornet in the movie Cars. He is a washed-up racer. After a huge defeat, he disapproves of himself and feels tired of life and hopeless for the future. A world that seems to be in both reality and dreams is on the canvas, and the colorful yet flat surface creates an illusion that looks wonderful but is in fact shallow. It seems like there are all kinds of idle and insignificant small events going on at all time here. WU Chen-Yu makes fun of himself as a member of a young generation that has not experienced success and failure, but instead has carried the spirit and attitude of Hudson Hornet during his late years.
