CHEN Yong-Qin is an artist who focuses on block prints. Throughout the Ages is a montage of different blocks that depict the beautiful natural landscapes and cultural traditions of Taiwan. Floating leaves and trees covered in age-worn marks spread across the entire canvas, symbolizing the window and passage of time. The mountains, rivers, and lands that slowly spread across the temporal dimension, on the other hand, are responsible for nourishing life. Black, white, and red color tones were used together with the varied etching styles to create powerful contrasts and distinctively layered visual effects. CHEN Yong-Qin uses nostalgia as a means to present human landscapes and historical memories of Taiwan that change with time.
