CHENG Leigh-Wen uses the elements of earth, air, water, and fire as her main creative elements. Paint is scratched away to generate extremely fine lines that form the signature elements of her work. Lady Slipper is a beautiful blooming flower that pays homage to female artists throughout history. The large petals with their mixed green and red coloration provide an unbridled showcase of the unique floral form while wearing numerous scratch marks that generate a conflicting tension-filled visual.
