Joyce Ho’s creative method spans multiple genres of painting, installation art, and photography, generating works that present the realistic, intimate, yet isolated interpersonal relationships based on observations of daily surroundings. Veil is an attempt to investigate the unknown dimensions of time, space, and memories. Wooden window frames and photographs were combined to create a scene resembling an actual household seen through the windows. The image shows a female plaster bust whose body turns transparent or opaque with the background. The woman next to the window appears to be engaged in silent self-reflection, creating a window image that appears like a glass panel while reflecting external sceneries. Joyce Ho introduced dramatic elements that allow the audience to become part of the work and immerse themselves in a world of space-time disorder.
