LIN Ying-Hsiu’s ink painting, “Mountain”, is based on nature and is an attempt to initiate a connection, dialog, and fantasy that goes beyond nature. Extremely minute dots and lines, tactile sensations, and mental intuition were used to generate a multi-dimensional realm and natural landscape while presenting her ideas about life and spiritual sensations. The gently rising slope of the work projects a fantasy of a hike in the mountains, while the forms created using fine lines of ink represent twigs, shrubs, smoke, mist, and other strange, changing forms. LIN Ying-Hsiu uses ink painting to weave a tapestry of dimensions hidden within ourselves and invites her audience to embark on a tour through this landscape.
