TAI Ming-Te’s Blessing Arrives is based upon observations and imaginations of various aspects in everyday life. Graffiti-like brush work and spontaneous lines portray a joyous atmosphere of newyear celebrations and marriages. The composition is covered by large, overlapping patches of red and white to create a rustic sense of weathering and age represented by the traditional red and white tiling provided in older buildings. TAI Ming-Te uses water-soluble acrylic paint blooming techniques as well as flat brushstrokes that are unlike traditional ink painting conventions, creating a multi-layered and liberal fusion of colors and layers to establish a uniquely personal art style. These iconic artworks represent conclusions based upon imaginations about everyday life and social observations.
