TAI Ming-Te’s An Oasis After Long Journey uses graffiti-like and spontaneous lines to create a bleak, desert landscape that is littered with bones. A bird has not yet given up hope, and is trying its best to cross this desert. Animals are forced to migrate in response to the climate extremities, devastating dust storms, and the changing environment. Only those who persevere and succeed in crossing the bone-littered wasteland will be able to find their oasis and sanctuary. TAI Ming-Te uses a technique that combines blooming and painting and a presentation with distinct shades to create a unique set of visual vocabulary. The purpose of the artwork is to convey stark environmental changes and express inner feelings during the creative process that can be likened to a lonely raft adrift in the sea.
