BAI Cian-Yu’s Moon in the Park, Mist and the Reflection on the Building is a 3-panel artwork attempting to discuss the relationship between our senses and memories. The work portrays illustrations of a streetscape from 3 different perspectives, namely a roadside tree on a foggy day, a night-time park, a city landscape viewed from afar and above. The panels present 3 color themes of red, yellow, and blue to portray the changing atmosphere and lighting in different seasons. All include a reddish orange sun held at the same elevation, suggesting that the panels represent the same moments in time. BAI Cian-Yu uses colors and representative brushstrokes to create impressionist scenery and preserve the sensory memories of the corresponding landscapes.
