Leo WANG explores the external elements of light, shadow, sound, noise, culture, and civilization. Rugir is first created by laying down color patches of varying contrasts and tones, and then blending the outlines with brushstrokes to create strips of color filled with rhythm and changes that resemble multi-colored beams dancing across the canvas, creating a symphony of abstract light, shadow, sound, and time in our mind. WANG Chien-Wen removes the residues of figurative forms and allow color to blend into each other in an attempt to recreate the blurred yet obvious world in our minds.
