Candy Bird has focused on social issues for many years and is a critique of existing systems. The artist often uses street graffiti and created many such artworks in many cities. Wash 2 describes a facet of his personal experience. An office worker wearing a white shirt is a repeated motif of his work. The worker is trapped in a watery quagmire and is shown wearing an expressionless mask while aquatic plants sprout from his body. A Bait in the shape of an apple falls from the sky, attempting to get him hooked. Candy Bird uses a humorous style to convey the trapped lives filled with helplessness, chaos, and oppression led by modern humans as well as his concerns for the difficulties his nation faced.
