HUANG Chien-Lun’s ink painting works feature the fun humor of younger generation. Memory Games is an artwork that explores childhood experiences. HUANG Chien-Lun used a horizontal composition to create a memory timeline, using ink to outline the houses, insects, and rocks of impossible sizes that sprawl across the fertile, grassy ground, with the fish representing her mother’s cooking and her childhood toy, a rabbit doll. Memories within the artist’s mind have been transformed into creative symbols and subjects to form this surrealist painting.
