CHANG Chih-Chung’s artistic creations blend eastern and western art providing a unique vibe that is classical and modern at the same time. Project “Ode to Walks of Life” uses pen, ink, gunny, pencil, bamboo knives, and other media to create a work that appears to be old and worn, successfully building a mythical atmosphere of ancient legends. CHANG Chih-Chung combined his experience in reading fantasy novels, and uses both texts and pictures when collecting human activities at different times, geographical locations, and cultural backgrounds. The result is a composition of characters appearing to be fictional yet realist and traditional yet modern. CHANG Chih-Chung’s works allow us to appreciate the unpredictable fates as well as everyday life from various professions and the spiritual value of their respective historical backgrounds.
