CHANG Chung-Liang’s photographs are great examples of an attempt to explore the temporal and spatial features of images that successfully convey the living experiences in different spaces. Photomontage Taiwan – The window / Over look Taipei shows an assembly of images taken in the same space at different times and perspectives to create a montage with a rich narrative and a sense of flowing time. The images of towering city blocks were overlapped with indoor environments, comparing the majestic cityscape with modern architectural designs of the indoor environment. The photographer himself is also reflected in the images to establish personal presence. These diary-like montages were created by CHANG Chung-Liang in order to showcase different urban landscapes.
