LEE Yi-Hsien’s State of Mind captures external landscapes through camera lenses and serves as a projection of inner mindsets. The video portrays 2 forest landscapes. Sunlight penetrates the dense canopy, becoming a beauteous downpour of golden light raining upon the grassy ground. The silhouette of the trees and the branches as well as the dancing shadows and light rays in a humid forest environment create a dark yet poetic composition. LEE Yi-Hsien employed these forest landscapes to reflect convoluted personal feelings and created the artwork as a means of emotional release.
