作品賞析

Artist LEE Yi-Hsien is a professional photographer. He always shares the warmth and coolness of the society through his lens. In his work Real World, he takes a black and white photograph of a farmer who walks along the ridge between taros farm towards the center of the farm. In this work, the artist puts the photograph upside down on purpose so that the taros farm on both sides of the ridge forms the illusion of floating in the air due to the reflected image in water. The original and ordinary real world seems to be transferred to an unreal kingdom. Through the simple technique, the artist reverses the reading perspective of the photograph and turns the real feelings of farmers who grow crops every year and worry about the harvest into an outstanding image beyond the real world.
