作品賞析
Pan Wen-Chu has spent over 30 years in Lanyu Island since the 1980s to document the traditional rites of Lanyu Island and captured images of everyday life of the marine and indigenous culture of the Tao People. His works conveyed a powerful sense of rustic sincerity. Drying Flying Fishes is a black and white photograph describing the lifestyle of the Tao people, and shows a rack of flying fishes drying in the salty sea breeze against the oceans. These flying fishes are an important dietary component of the Tao people and considered a fine delicacy, and the racks of flying fish are a symbolic image of the traditional heritage of this indigenous tribe.
