CHANG Hung-Yi’s watercolor paintings are dream-like and imaginary landscapes that convey the emotional rhythms inspired by touches and memories from everyday life, leading viewers into a colorful garden of fantasy. Shadows of the Raining Street is an orderly distribution of flowers, grasses, and trees created using outlines, detailed decorations, and overlapping patches of color. Solid blocks of color are assembled like pieces of an abstract jigsaw puzzle to create the lawn and sky in the painting.
