HUANG Chien-Hua combines photography with computer technology to create a fantasy landscape to reflect upon the modern and digital world. Transcoder – Act One shows a carousel with shining lights. Instead of wooden ponies, however, the merry-go-round was furnished with different animals as well as an outworldly space with a small window at a corner and a multi-colored wall on the left that seemed as a portal to another world. Animals were used as an analogy for the survival-oriented aspect of society, while digital montages predict that people will be soon entering an era where social networking is re-defined.
