CHIU Ling-Lin mainly works with ink painting, creating art pieces that are filled with experimental devices and diverse appearances. Appearance employed large numbers of irregular ink markings arranged in seemingly uniform formations that actually vary widely in densities and shades, forming an infinite combination of possibilities against the blank areas of the canvas. CHIU Ling-Lin employed small, repeated, and overlapping figures to symbolize the continuous and repetitive characteristics of work. Although artistic process has already been completed, its marks remain upon the canvas. Overlapping people-shaped symbols serve as a portrayal of human consciousness. Thin, multi-layered brushstrokes were employed to mold mental states and appearances, creating a serene and philosophical graphical atmosphere that leads viewers into different reflections.
