LI Fei-Wen’s works include both figurative and abstract elements. Low moments in life are transformed into motivation forces. Artistic creation is used as a means to rediscover the touching and beautiful aspects in life. LI Fei-Wen’s Spring Ephemera is inspired by the images of spring. A background of various shades of green was first composed. Semi-automatist approaches were then employed to create splashes of brilliantly colored paints upon the canvas. The flowing paint was then used to create a beautiful flower and its petiole, composing a dreamlike imagery of overlapping layers of mixing colors. LI Fei-Wen is skilled in using refreshing and gentle tones to generate splendid, elegant, harmonious color mosaics with dancing brushstrokes to create dancing and rhythmic contours. Her works express subtle sensitivities manifested through the fragrances and imageries of her memories.
