作品賞析

HUANG Chi-Lung is a skilled oil painter and enjoys using color patches to convey his emotional interpretations. His works are also affected by the boldly colored aspects of Fauvism as well as the freedom espoused by Abstract Expressionism, weaving back and forth between figurative and abstract approaches while demonstrating his mastery in using overlapping color patches and emotional presentations. Countryside is filled with buildings of different forms clad in splendid colors. The artist uses this artwork as a means of reinterpreting life living in traditional houses as well as the history of traditional red-tiled architecture in Taiwan.
