作品賞析
HU Tsai-Shin’s artworks mainly focus on minute particles that mainly occur in nature and our material universe. Organic “lines” are important elements within her work. In Yun, numerous bubble-like lines of different sizes are packed tightly with each other and depicted as floating along the top of the figure. Contrasted against this mass is a sparse collection of circular lines that generate an interesting dialog. The lines are generated by the artist by stacking and squeezing oil paint together. The large expanse of space between the two bubble masses of different sizes is covered by a grayish blue along a changing gradient created using flat color techniques in order to give an atmosphere of separation. HU Tsai-Shin particularly enjoys the mass effect generated by the lines squeezed against each other and the randomness of spatial directions inherent to the squeezing process, using the said lines to create roiling emotions hidden within a seemingly serene surface.
