LEE Yi-Ting creates a canvas that overlaps virtual and realistic worlds to refine her deepest memories and to condense her most personal and emotional moments as well as everyday contemplation. In Running Girl 02, vermilion colored walls were used to create an imposing theme. The side profile of a young girl with indistinct features could be seen from a small window located at the upper right. Weathered, green-colored doors made out of wood and peeling paint reveal the marks of time, while dark tones highlight the girl’s worries and loneliness. LEE Yi-Ting made use of varying color tensions, color combinations, and linear spatial separation to depict a semi-virtual world that incorporates her surroundings and her inner worlds.
