作品賞析
LIN Mei-Hui grew up in a farm of Taichung and enjoys the natural scenery of the fields. As society changed, however, farming villages began to be invaded by haphazardly built factories and warehouses, taking apart and destroying the farmlands and hill slopes. To LIN Mei-Hui, these metal constructions are the murderous tools that have destroyed the environment. In Gradually Evanishing Scenery 2, LIN Mei-Hui uses calm colors and strokes to highlight the disappearance of our beauteous landscapes. Realist approaches and brush strokes were employed to illustrate a corrugated metal building that rips the entire scenery in half. The cold metal construction contrasted against the calming scenery conveys the outrageous confrontation it poses to the landscape. LIN Mei-Hui has stood by as a silent witness to the transformation of our villages and has used her brushstroke to illustrate the guilty tools that have destroyed our farmlands and rustic landscapes, letting viewers reflect upon our actions.
