JHAN Jhuang-Syuan’s works focus on family memories of sadness, poverty, and housing justice. Desk of sister depicts a corner in a family home that have been devastated and left in chaotic ruin, making use of white paint in order to cover up parts of his stolen memories, with the chaotic and dirty scene portraying a strong sense of sorrow. JHAN Jhuang-Syuan made use of painting to describe personal pains that cannot be put in words.
