作品賞析

WU Pei-Chi works with ink painting and human figures. Her works are filled with poetic metaphors and story-like fantasies, transforming her acute and meticulous observations of things around her into meaningful pieces. In Born to Die, a nude woman lay curled on the floor. Her tired expressions and thick black hair contrast strongly against each other. The woman’s hair spreads around her body like waves, and even has islands and splashing fish emerging from them. As always, WU Pei-Chi’s works are filled with metaphorical fantasies illustrated in a prose-like fashion, reflecting upon the relationship between the physical body and the environment as well as life as a human being.
