LIU Chih-Feng is skilled in employing print art to express a modern individual’s response to life and self. Sinking portrays figures and scenes using white lines against a wholly black background. White lines form an area that resembles a net that restricts people’s movements. The main characters in this work would be helmeted figures wearing different expressions in their destitute situation. Some allowed themselves to be carried and floated by the surroundings while others attempt to fight it. This work allows LIU Chih-Feng to remind us of the state of our lives and the unmentioned reality where the silent ones sink away into oblivion.
