KAO Ya-Ting’s works have always focused upon the contradictory attraction and separation between the human race and nature, and the artist employs art to illustrate her fantasies and imaginations. Untitled is another work from KAO Ya-Ting’s Hive series. In a world of an enigmatic purple shade and populated by strange plants, a beekeeper is depicted without any color and shown only with outlines, bending forward as he tends to his beehives. KAO Ya-Ting’s works express mankind’s fantasy of conquering nature and communicates her imaginations and observations of both urban and natural landscapes.
