YEH Fang regards creation as a divine spirit in the journey of life, and her pieces have served as a means of reliving the most energetic moments of her life. In Concerto, YEH Fang used simple shades of grey and white to create a work rich with meticulous details and emotions. A stable composition was achieved using the white bowl positioned at the bottom left and the peony located at the upper right. Hillocks intentionally positioned at the upper left and lower right adds a layer of ephemeral texture and aesthetic rhythm of peace and longing. Despite working with oils, YEH Fang paid particular attention to the chiaroscuro effects of the white bowl and peony petals, creating an artistic atmosphere that seemed only possible in a traditional Chinese ink painting.
