Gifted at creating three-dimensional compositions on flat canvas, SYU Tang-Wei is an artist who has switched from architecture to the fine arts. In Wandering 208, the artist paints a background with a single hue of acrylic paint. Within the meticulously crafted large object, intertwining, wriggling tentacles and spreading abstract shapes appear to be fluttering in weightless space. Syu fuses elements of mechanical parts to create a complex picture, inviting the viewer to enter the whimsical world of his mind.
