作品賞析
In the works of artist Wang Tung-Shuo, you can often see low-chroma black, white, and gray tones, as well as various geometric figures. For the artist, the process of painting back and forth, piling on layers of paint, and accumulating lines into geometric figures records his emotions or thoughts. In this work, Inward Order, Wang Tung-Shuo uses oil paint in gray tones to repeatedly outline the geometric figures in the center. The lines, sometimes wide, sometimes narrow, symbolize each thought that comes up. The figures—warm and seeming to have a metallic luster—symbolize the ambiguity of life, which seems both bright and dark. Through this work, Wang Tung-Shuo is describing and thinking about the processes of forming his own values and inward order. These processes are one’s experience of life, but whether good or painful, it will turn into the fruits of life, and through this vision, it will bring us peace and tranquility.
