SHEN Shang-Yin's inspiration comes from her realization of life. Her themes are mostly focused on the interaction between people and human nature. She often incorporates animals in her works, thereby triggering the moral discussion between humans and animals. About Losing uses delicate brushwork and light colors to express that in the face of loss, it is impossible to predict anything. The young girl in the picture is led by a pufferfish-shaped balloon and floats above the ground. The girl doesn't know where to go. The balloon doesn't understand the emotional bond between the girl and the cat. The gray cat stands with its feet up, staring at the girl. SHEN Shang-Yin symbolizes the purity of the cat with lilies, and the gray spots on the flowers represent the complexity of real life.
