CHEN Wen-Li has long been concerned with the natural ecology. She paints a unique scenery of a series of artificial gardens using colorful ink paintings. The work, Garden Landscapes 2, is a Chinese garden landscape. There are artificial pool, stones, and various lush and beautiful plants in the picture, which seems to be a diverse ecological world. However, the plants in the picture are actually displaced from the nature to this place, and in the future, they may escape from this artificial garden to interfere with the nature. CHEN Wen-Li believes that due to globalization and the convenience of the Internet, even in the hot and humid Taiwan, people can still buy various plants from the deserts, cold geological areas or tropical rain forests, and let them adapt, integrate, or die and decay with the ecosystem in their own gardens.
