KUO Chih-Hung often uses mountains as the theme and imagery for his creation. In the work, Study of Landscape 41, the image of the mountain and the tree is reproduced in a form of simplification and abstraction. Through the calligraphic lines, elegant colors, and white spaces, various textures and structures are developed in the picture and many unknown spaces of large and small shapes are formed. KUO Chih-Hung's paintings have a unique temperament of Eastern culture. He believes that mountains are representative objects of nature and the reflection of this world.
