LIN Ta-Yu’s printmaking often centers on the discussion of "Self". In the work, Graffiti-Self, he presents a self-portrait with strong expressive lines and color styles. The character in the painting has big eyes looking straight ahead and a slightly drooping mouth, giving the face a hint of sorrow. Using colored patches, a strong contrast of the dark and light is created, and with the cutting marks and mottled texture in the background, a strong mood is rendered. In the face of today's digital media information and images, LIN Ta-Yu tries to assess the existence and space of the self by engraving a self-portrait on the board.
