LIN Shun-Te’s mixed media, Spring, uses acrylic paint and gouache for creation. With flowers as the image of expression, the flowers of various colors are arranged in an abstract, organic fashion on the canvas. The colorful flowers are surrounded by green ferns with curvy and stretched lines, making the picture full of vitality. The black background creates a pure, magical color. There are various circular shapes in the picture, which symbolize “blooming flowers and full moon” in Chinese culture. With circles being the symbol for perfection and good imagery, LIN Shun-Te shows the prosperity of spring.
