LEE Wei-Mu is involved in both theater and art creation. He is skilled at stage design and is also the head of the Tainaner Ensemble, practicing the art of performing. In the work, Light Scenery-Transparent Sansui, he uses metal as the main sculptural element, linking the emotion and warmth that metals bring him from inheriting his father’s iron factory in the past. The slender metal strips connect all kinds of discarded objects, and at the same time, loop together the stories belonging to every old object. The intertwined, bent, sharp lines support the objects, and as if they are floating, they create an illusion resembling a dream. LEE Wei-Mu uses the combination of objects of different sizes, weights and colors in life to create a visual beauty of destruction and balance, and lets the stories in life, like in the trajectory of time, continue to circulate continuously.
