Stretching XI

KAN Wei-Tzu’s work, Stretching XI, is from one of her series, "Heart．Space". She uses Google map as a medium for looking for streets and framing, recreating the road-based perspective. The clear and fuzzy picture is resulted from moving in the Google Street View. Sometimes the image is erroneously overlapped due to delay, forming a unique boundary between the reality and the virtual world. The work is in a gray and white layout, and the mottled traces are created with rich brushstrokes, indirectly revealing the inner emotions of the individual. KAN Wei-Tzu tries to observe from the perspective of non-subjective scientific imaging and explore the fuzzy boundary between viewing and memory.
