LUAN Sing-Meei’s ink painting, Red Landscape, is based on the summer sunset of north coast in Taiwan. The use of the deep composition of ink painting guides the viewer's line of sight, bringing the unique mountain and coastal scenery of the north coast into the picture. There is a big foot at the bottom of the picture, and looking from the bottom to the top, there are people engaging in outdoor activities and the scenery along the way. Some people are diving, some are swimming in the pool or taking a bath, and the bus is driving on a curved road. There are also beautiful flowers and trees and a pavilion for people to rest in the mountain, creating a scene with red sunset along the coast. LUAN Sing-Meei uses simple brushstrokes and the overlapping of red smudges to give this scene a fascinating intimacy, showing the culture of the tropic Taiwan.
