作品賞析

LIN Li-Li uses gouache as the main medium. She draws on her impressions from daily life and integrates actual feelings into the painting. She named this series The Living of the Common People. Her work, 7-11, depicts an empty convenience store. The convenience store is a good neighbor for modern people in which that it opens 24 hours every day and has an indispensable role in people’s lives. LIN Li-Li uses a meticulous brush to coat and dye the crepe cloth, stacking the lingering sensation of the moist scent. With the ink being outside of the boundary, the picture exudes a cold temperament and old charm, and this depiction of a common space is also a kind of irony for modern life.
