WANG Hsiao-Ching has been focusing on women's issues for many years. Her works include photography, painting, composite media and devices, etc. The work, The Mother as a Creator, started filming in 2001 and continued until 2014. Starting from the year of her pregnancy, she took a photo of her son and herself in front of their last photo together. Time is accumulated through the images of mother and child. The images also carry and constantly compress the moments and memories of the mother and child. For WANG Hsiao-Ching, a mother needs to be full of creative wisdom just like an artist. The mother's job is a long-term and complicated process. She hopes to reproduce the complex, diverse and creative experience of real motherhood through the concept of creation.
