作品賞析

FANG Wei-Wen's creations span across installation and painting. The visual style in his works is strong, as if he has his own symbol system to express his life memory and state of consciousness. In the work, Dang Dang, all sorts of unique images fill the pictures: mechanically linear structures, plant stems with flame-like flowers, repetitive decorative patterns, and homonyms Chinese words such as "ba pu ba pu”, “yu”, “yu”, “dang”, “dang”, etc. The upside-down image is like a state of chaos when all thoughts are revealed. FANG Wei-Wen uses these seemingly unrelated symbols and compresses them into a single space, forming a fantasy-like graffiti and creating a delicate balance in chaos.
