LAI Hsin-Lung is one of the members of the "Hantoo Art Group" established in Taiwan in 1998. His paintings are free and improvised, expressing his inner spirituality with the pursuit of formal beauty. The work, Pressure of Red Desire, directly uses the primary color red. The paint is sprayed on the canvas, showing the freedom that the color is not restrained by the brush and a strong sense of life. The red tone reveals a richly textured base. On the upper left of the painting, a brush that directly absorbs acrylic paint is used to form vivid colors with straight lines, much like a fragment of a colorful waterfall. LAI Hsin-Lung uses an intuitive red color, along with rational and regular color blocks to present the fragmented thought that is suppressed and waiting to be released.
