WU Yih-Han often conveys the reflections on social values using portraits of women. The work, All Playing Together 2, is a class scene in a school’s music classroom. Seven girls dressed in neat uniforms are practicing playing the flute together. During the stage of education, there are various images that can describe the blindness of following groups for no reason. However, the scene of playing the flute in a music class reminds the artist some sort of illusion of harmony. The school requires everyone to learn the flute, but does it really provoke the passion for music or even the meaning of this activity? WU Yih-Han uses delicate style of painting to evoke emotional impact visually for the viewers and also expects the viewers to interpret and reflect on the values that we deem as conventional.
