WANG Fu-Tung is a creator as well as an important art critic in Taiwan. His style of creation is free and changing as he tries to find a place in new aboriginality. The work Dr. Stephen William Hawking the First Year is based on the well-known physicist Stephen Hawking. In the painting, a short-haried human head surrounded by strange-looking creatures seems to be the peculiar and unique imaginiation in his mind. There are creatures with multiple feet on both sides of the face, and there is a compass on the forehead, much like a radar searching for information. The repetitive arrangement patterns in the background are like the small units of digital technology. WANG Fu-Tung responds to the current human society with conceptual oil paintings. He attemptes to create a "digital" image that transcends time and space and contains infinite possibilities.
